About ClaudConnect
Is ClaudConnect made by Anthropic?

No. ClaudConnect is an independent third-party service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Anthropic PBC, the company that makes Claude. We are an external service provider that builds on top of Claude via the open Model Context Protocol (MCP) standard. Think of us like a plugin or connector — similar to how third-party apps connect to Slack or Google Workspace without being made by those companies.
Is my Claude subscription managed by ClaudConnect?

No. Your Claude subscription (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise) is entirely separate and managed directly by Anthropic at claude.ai. ClaudConnect does not have any access to your Anthropic account, billing, or Claude conversations.
What is MCP?

Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard created by Anthropic that allows third-party tools and services to connect to Claude. ClaudConnect is one such third-party service — we use MCP to give Claude read-only access to your Google Ads and Meta Ads data.

What is ClaudConnect?

ClaudConnect is a remote MCP server that connects Claude AI to your Google Ads and Meta Ads accounts. It lets Claude read your live ad performance data and answer questions about your campaigns in natural language — no exports, no dashboards required.
Does this work with Claude.ai on the web?

Currently ClaudConnect requires Claude Desktop (the macOS or Windows app). Claude.ai web support for custom extensions is coming — when it ships, ClaudConnect will work there automatically.
Do I need a Claude Pro subscription?

Yes — Claude Desktop extensions require a Claude Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise subscription.
Security & Privacy
Is my data safe?

Yes. We use AES-256-CBC encryption for all stored credentials. Campaign data is never stored — it flows directly from Google/Meta APIs to Claude on every query.
What permissions do you request?

Read-only access only. For Google: the Google Ads API read scope. For Meta: ads_read. Neither scope can create, modify, pause, or delete anything.
Can ClaudConnect spend money on my accounts?

No. The read-only OAuth scopes we request are physically incapable of making changes to campaigns or budgets.
How do I delete my data?

Dashboard → Settings → Delete Account. All data is permanently removed within 24 hours.
Technical
How do I connect?
+
Download the claudconnect.mcpb file from your dashboard. Open Claude Desktop → Settings → Extensions → Install Extension → select the file → paste your bearer token when prompted. Done.
"Couldn't reach the MCP server" error
+
This is an intermittent Claude Desktop bug. Go to Settings → Extensions, remove ClaudConnect, and reinstall it. Usually resolves on the second attempt.
Google error: "Developer token not approved"
+
Your developer token is in Test mode. Apply for Basic access via Google Ads Manager → Tools → API Center. Takes 1-3 business days.
Meta error: "Error validating access token"
+
Your token expired. System User tokens never expire — generate one in Meta Business Settings → System Users → Generate New Token.
Can I use ClaudConnect on multiple computers?

Yes. Install the .mcpb extension on any Claude Desktop installation and enter your bearer token. It works on as many machines as you like.
Billing
What counts as a query?
+
Each time Claude calls a ClaudConnect tool counts as one query. The connection handshake does not count. Free users get 5 per month.
When does my query count reset?
+
On the 1st of every calendar month at midnight UTC.
How do I upgrade?
+
Email support@claudconnect.com with your account email and desired plan. Activated within 24 hours. Stripe billing coming soon.
Is the free tier really permanent?
+
Yes — 5 queries every month, forever, no expiry.
